Healthcare auxiliary presents bursaries

Program supports students in healthcare field

ALBERTON

Chloe Fraser and Emma Doucette are the 2017-18 recipients of the Western Hospital Healthcare Auxiliary’s bursaries. The bursaries, valued at $500 each, are presented to second-year post-secondary students studying in the healthcare field. Doucette, who is from Ascension, is a second year nursing student at University of New Brunswick and Fraser, who is from Alberton, is in the second year of the nursing program at UPEI Both students expressed hope their training will lead to employment in P.E.I. The Auxiliary applies part of its annual fundraising initiatives towards its bursary program.
