ALBERTON – Although the Prince County Exhibition is 88 years old, this year’s exhibition, which runs July 25 to 27, will see the addition of a number of new events.

Old favourites like the midway, provided by Hincheys Rides & Amusements, and the agricultural exhibits, beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, will return.

On Friday night the Adult Strongman Competition will be pre-staged and horse pull fans will be treated to the best teams in the Maritimes.

Friday is Senior’s Day and part of that presentation will be an Acadian Kitchen Party, and Acadian genealogy with Jean Bernard.

Saturday will feature the parade, matinee horse racing, and the Adult Singing Contest sponsored by Summerside Chrysler Dodge.

Sunday will see the crowning of the 2014 Miss Alberton, the Junior Strongman Competition, the P.E.I. Mutual Youth Talent Show, and the Cox & Palmer Ladies Fitness program.

Shiloh and Old Stone Station will be providing music for afternoon and evening concerts on Friday and Saturday. Ceilidh Brae and Country Heart will also be presenting afternoon concerts on Friday and Saturday.
