Wiggles bringing show to Summerside in September

SUMMERSIDE – The popular singing and dancing quartet, The Wiggles, are coming to Summerside's Credit Union Place Sept. 18, as part of their North American tour with their show, Ready, Steady, Wiggle.

Presented by Sonic Concerts, The Wiggles will be promoting their new CD and DVD, Apples and Bananas, which will be available Aug. 26.

Founding member Anthony Field (Blue Wiggle) along with Emma Watkins (Yellow Wiggle), Simon Pryce (Red Wiggle), and Lachlan Gillespie (Purple Wiggle) will be taking the stage to entertain audiences with Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.

Fans will hear songs from their upcoming CD, which is a collection of classic nursery rhymes and some older favourites including Hot Potato and Get Ready to Wiggle.

The Australian group has been performing for more than 24 years and is now the world’s number one children’s entertainment group, with seven million albums, 23 million DVDs, and eight million books sold.

Since the release of their self-titled album in 1991, The Wiggles have achieved worldwide fame.

The Wiggles will have a new season on Treehouse TV and have a continued partnership with Corus Feeds Kids that works for the betterment of children.

As well as Summerside, there will also be other Maritime performances in Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton and Halifax.
