SUMMERSIDE — The city has unveiled plans for its fall festival Naturefest.

The outdoor event will offer a number of free activities,

including nature trails to explore, wagon rides, arts and craft activities, face painting, musical entertainment along with other activities.

The event will take place this year on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. (Thanksgiving weekend) at the Heather Moyse Heritage Park, located along Harvard Street.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate nature and the fall season in a fun, relaxed family atmosphere in a beautiful park we are blessed to have in our great city,” said Mayor Basil Stewart.

A new event this year will be the best apple pie competition. A panel of judges will determine the winner.

Any vendors interested in being on site are asked to call 902-432-3508.
