Once again, the schedule-makers for the P.E.I. Rocket and UPEI Panthers seem to have a communications problem.

Twice recently, within a span of five days, the two teams that dominate the P.E.I hockey scene had home games on the same night. It obviously doesn't do either team any favours to see their major competition in action less than two kilometres away.

The UPEI schedule is being done now for next year so the Panthers sign off on their dates some eight months before the start of the next season. If the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League cannot work around the dates, UPEI should know in plenty of time to see if it could shift around them.

A fine group of curlers

While we live in Manitoba and were happy to see Jones's team win the Tournament of Hearts, our hearts were really with O'Rourke and her team of fine young curlers.

We hope to see them often in the future. In our hearts, the way they handled themselves made them real winners, even if they came in second. Congratulations.  (more)  11:42 AM

This is a great idea. The party should know all that it can about their next leader.
