Louie Fernandez
hangs on for win
SUMMERSIDE — Louie Fernandez chased down the leaders at the top of the stretch and hung on to win by a neck over Life Savior in 2:01.2 in the feature race Saturday at Summerside Raceway.
The card was the final of the 2009 season at SRW.
Kenny Arsenault drove Louie Fernandez for owners Wendell and Robbie Shaw of Summerside.
Marc Campbell had a driving triple while Gary Chappell, Earl Smith and Norris Rogers all won twice.
Campbell and Chappell were tied for the track’s driving title heading into the final race on the card. Chappell won the race to finish with 37 victories.

Yankee Sun, Arenault
win CDP?feature race
Yankee Sun and driver Kenny Arsenault raced home in 1:58.2 to win the feature race Saturday at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Yankee Sun won for the seond week in a row for owner BM Stable of New Brunswick.
Arsenault and Brian MacPhee had driving triples while Marc Campbell and Gary Chappell each won twice on the card
Racing returns to the CDP next Saturday at 1 p.m.
