John McDermott honours the troops
The Guardian
|
Canadian tenor John McDermott greets Theresa Gotell of Georgetown before his concert Saturday night in the Homburg Theatre at Confederation Centre of the Arts. McDermott, who has been honouring veterans with his songs for a long time, performed songs from his new CD, Journeys. He has been involved with the War Amps and the United States Marine Corps to honour the men and women who fight and die for their country and lately he has been working with Canada Company that gives scholarships to the children of the soldiers who were killed on active missions with the Canadian military.
