Brianne Lewis of Marshfield and Paul S. Schurman of Summerside are this year’s recipients of the Red Cross humanitarian awards for P.E.I. The awards are based on nominations from the public. Lewis is reading for her masters in public health and has volunteered with orphanages in China among other volunteer work. Schurman’s list of volunteer work and organizations he has helped has touched the lives of thousands, said the Red Cross in its citation. Guardian photo by Nigel Armstrong
