P.E.I. drop 4-3 overtime decision to Quebec

Mikhail Stefanovich scored 18 seconds into overtime and gave the Quebec Remparts a 4-3 win over the P.E.I. Rocket in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Friday at the Civic Centre.
It was Stefanovich's second goal of the game. Patrick Cusack and Kelsey Tessier also potted goals for Quebec.
The Rocket countered with scores from Charlottetown native Chris Doyle and
defencemen Matthew Hobbs and Adam Polasek, who spurred a third-period comeback from a 3-1 deficit.
P.E.I. dropped to 10-6-1-2 while Quebec upped its record to 13-3-2-1.
Marco Cousineau (5-7) faced 28 shots in the loss while Jean-Philippe Gagnon (6-3) stopped 20 of 23 shots for the win.
The Rocket host the Montreal Junior tonight. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Civic Centre.
Elsewhere Friday night, Morgan Ellis of Ellerslie earned in an assist for the Cape Breton Breton Screaming Eagles in a 4-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads.
Ellis assisted on Nick MacNeil’s second-period goal that gave the Screaming Eagles a 3-1 lead.
Taylor MacDougall, who has family connections to P.E.I., scored twice for Cape Breton.
