Keith Boag is out as CBC's chief political reporter

The CBC is sending anchor Evan Solomon and reporter Terry Milewski to Ottawa in the wake of a cost-cutting reorganization that saw Newsworld’s seasoned “Politics” host, Don Newman, retire earlier this year.
The CBC says Solomon will host an expanded political show from Ottawa beginning this fall from 5-7 p.m. ET on Newsworld.
Milewski moves to Ottawa as CBC News’ new senior correspondent in the political bureau.
Meanwhile, Keith Boag will end a five-year run as CBC’s chief political correspondent in Ottawa to report out of Los Angeles, where he will cover the California region and beyond.
Susan Bonner will join CBC’s Washington bureau alongside Neil MacDonald, Paul Hunter and Michael Colton, and reporter David Common moves to New York City after a stint in Paris.
The CBC is overhauling its news division as it grapples with severe cost-cutting measures to cope with a $171-million budget shortfall.
