Alzheimer's Society of P.E.I. hosts Walk for Memories

The Alzheimer’s Society of P.E.I. Walk for Memories will take place on Saturday, June 6, at Confederation Landing Park in downtown Charlottetown.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the walk will being at 11 a.m. travelling the streets of Charlottetown and finishing back at Confederation Landing with a barbecue and fiddle music.
Alzheimer’s P.E.I. is celebrating its 20th anniversary on the Island. This year’s walk is being supported by the Friendly Pharmacy, UPEI Athletics and City of Charlottetown and is being co-chaired by Bryn Redmond and Mike Redmond.
Likewise the UPEI women’s soccer program and the Women’s Canada Games soccer team will take part in the walk.
“We are very pleased to have both Bryn and Michael as our co-chairs for our event,” says Corrine Hendricken-Eldershaw, CEO of the Alzheimer Society of P.E.I.
“Giving back to the community is very important and we are grateful that both the Nursing Department at UPEI and these two groups of athletes are so dedicated to the community they represent.”
