Islander ranked highly Logan MacMillan rated second-rounder for NHL draft

Winsloe native Logan MacMillan is ranked in the second round, 42nd overall, among North American skaters heading into the NHL draft on June 22 in Columbus, Ohio.
MacMillan is a centre with the Halifax Mooseheads of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The NHL Central Scouting Service released their final 2006-07 rankings on Wednesday.
Clyde River’s Randy Cameron of the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats is ranked to go in the fifth round, 129th overall.
The P.E.I. Rocket’s Joey Haddad and Justin Vaive, son of former NHLer Rick Vaive of Charlottetown, are ranked in the seventh round.
The Rocket’s Antoine Lafleur is ranked third among North American goaltenders.
The Chicago Blackhawks won the lottery and will select first at the draft.
Centre Kyle Turris of the British Columbia Hockey League’s Burnaby Express is the top-ranked North American skater, while the top European skater remains Alexei Cherepanov of the Omsk club.
