CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The popular mix of yoga and snow is back in Charlottetown by popular demand this year.

Snoga is part of the city’s WiterLove campaign, an community-led initiative to encourage residents and visitors embrace the colder months of the year.

The free snoga session takes place Friday, Feb. 16, at noon I Rochford Sq. Certified yoga instructor Cynthia Dennis will once again lead the class, which is expected to last around 45 minutes.

Studies have shown there are health benefits to spending time in cold temperatures, including increased energy level and mental alertness, improved sleep, stimulated weight loss, better breathing, reduced inflammation and improved immune function.

Snoga participants are asked to bring a yoga mat, water bottle and dress accordingly.
