Prayer service set for March 2

Faith-Marie McKenney guest speaker at 98th annual event

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — A World Day of Prayer service celebrating 98 years in Canada is planned for Friday, March 2, at 7 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, 162 Sherwood Rd. in Charlottetown (storm date: March 3, 2:30 p.m.)

The planning team members includes church representatives from Community Baptist, Park Royal United, St. Pius X and St. Mark’s Presbyterian.

Guest speaker is Faith-Marie McKenney from Community Baptist Church. Everyone is welcome.

The first Canadian World Day of Prayer service took place in Lindsay, Ont., on Jan. 9, 1920.
