CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Martha Spirituality Centre at SDU Place on Great George Street, using the entry door at the back of SDU Place, is hosting a day of retreat and reflection for interested men on Saturday, May 26,10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The retreat theme is “Discovering John of the Cross: the Path of a Contemplative Man”.
Participants will be invited to look at and reflect on some of the collected works of John of the Cross with recorded teachings by James Finlay, PhD, who leads retreats and workshops throughout the United States and Canada attracting men and women from all religious traditions who seek to live a contemplative way of life in the midst of today’s busy world.
This retreat is open to interested men from all Christian denominations.
This reflection day is organized by Gilles Michaud, a team member of the Martha Spirituality Centre and a man dedicated to male spirituality. The day will consist of time for presentations, group prayer and discussion as well as time for silent reflection.
The fee is $20, and participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch and beverages will be provided.
