The trust’s 33rd annual dinner and auction will be held at Red Shores Charlottetown, with doors opening at 6 p.m.
Proceeds will further the conservation goals of the group, including the protection of natural lands in P.E.I. and engagement of Islanders in stewardship efforts.
A buffet meal and live music by Max Keenleyside provide the backdrop for viewing the many art, crafts, themed service packages and overnight stays that are available for bidding and raffles. The winning ticket for the yearlong raffle of a life-size Great Blue Heron, carved by Dave Broderick of Alberton, will also be drawn at the end of the evening.
Original works of art by Island artists Richard Vickerson, Joan Thompson and Sharon Smith, as well as a limited-edition print by internationally recognized artist Robert Bateman are some of the pieces on the auction block.
The meal begins at 7 p.m. after people have had an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and begin bidding on silent auction items.
Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be accommodated upon request.
Tickets are available by calling 892-7513 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
