iRest Yoga Nidra session set for June 15-17 in Charlottetown

Have you thought about trying yoga, but feel intimidated? Gentle yoga with Sherry Ryan is a great place to start. Each session is one hour and is ideal for seniors. The next session is Tuesday at Coakers Meadow on Torbay Road.

An iRest Yoga Nidra Immersion weekend is June 15-17 at The Path, 344 University Ave., Charlottetown.

For several hours each day participants will learn the principles and practice of iRest Yoga Nidra meditation and experience the variety of ways iRest can be used on and off the mat. This event is open to everyone wishing to sample what the has to offer for health, healing and wholeness of being. The session can be used as a retreat or as professional development and training.

The iRest trainer is Barbara Eastham from Calgary, Alta.  She has been part of the collaborative development of the iRest training and certification for decades and is a supervisor in the certification process. She has for many years been a teacher of teachers and has taught yoga for over 30 years. Eastham is currently offering iRest to groups and individuals and working within a cancer wellness facility. She likes to offer the nondual practices of body sensing, pranayama, meditation and personal inquiry in small group gatherings where participants share and learn from one another.
