CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Foundation held its annual student awards celebration recently at the Tourism and Culinary Centre.

Approximately 400 scholarships, bursaries and awards, totalling more than $400,000 were distributed this academic year.

The event, sponsored by PepsiCo Beverages, recognized the hard work, academic excellence, volunteerism, community service, leadership skills, and professional promise of Holland College students. The approximately 150 donors who support scholarships, bursaries and awards were thanked for their ongoing commitment and generosity.

Students from the Holland College School of Performing Arts provided music, and students from the Culinary Institute of Canada provided refreshments.

Shaun MacIsaac, chairman of the Holland College Foundation board of directors, commended the students and thanked the donors.

“This event celebrates the donors’ investments in our students and recognizes the hard work and the achievement of the recipients,” said MacIsaac.

“We are proud of our students, and we are grateful to our many donors for their generosity and support.”
