HMCS Queen Charlotte takes part in Remembrance Week activities

Members of HMCS Queen Charlotte salute after they laid a wreath during a previous year's Remembrance Day ceremony in Charlottetown.

Members of HMCS Queen Charlotte took to the streets on Tuesday for their annual Veterans’ Week Walkabout.

They were present around prominent locations in the downtown Charlottetown area, handing out poppies and information about Remembrance Day.

Also part of Remembrance Week is the annual veterans’ speaker program, taking place until Nov. 10. This will see sailors speaking in classrooms and assembly halls of Island schools, speaking of the importance of Remembrance Day.

HMCS Queen Charlotte will also once again be participating in the annual Remembrance Day parade in Charlottetown on Saturday at 11 a.m.
