Sister Regina McQuaid CND will give a presentation on the life and witness of Saint Marguerite D’Youville of Montreal on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Martha Spirituality Centre, at SDU Place.

This is the third offering in a Canada 150 Catholic Faith Heritage Series focusing on some recognized Canadian saints.

D’Youville was a French Canadian widow who founded the religious order of the Sisters of Charity of Montreal, commonly known as the Grey Nuns of Montreal.

She was canonized in 1990 by Pope John Paul II and is the first native-born Canadian to be declared a saint.

McQuaid is presently living in Charlottetown and is a team member of the Martha Spirituality Centre with her background as an educator and pastoral associate and more recently the founding director of the Marguerite Retreat Centre in Summerside where she worked for many years.

All are welcome to attend but call 902-367-3103 or message srgemma@eastlink.ca to reserve a seat as space is limited.

A free-will offering to support spiritual programming will be accepted.
