CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Island residents can get a second helping of turkey next week while supporting a good cause.
The annual U.S. Thanksgiving dinner will be held Thursday, Nov. 23, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s parish hall in Charlottetown.
The event is a major fundraiser for the St. Paul’s Christmas Outreach Support for families and individuals in need.
It also gives people of American heritage a Thanksgiving dinner at their traditional time of year, rather than a month and a half earlier than they’re used to.
The price is $15 for adults and $8 for children for roast turkey, homemade stuffing, autumn vegetables, pickles, biscuits, dessert and a beverage.
The parish hall is located at the corner of Prince and Richmond streets in downtown Charlottetown. Take-out is also available.
To buy tickets or place a take-out order, contact the St. Paul’s office at 902-892-1691, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The number of tickets is limited, and it is not usually possible to buy at the door.
