CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Mayor Clifford Lee will open the doors of Charlottetown City Hall later this month to welcome newcomers to the city.

The City of Charlottetown is hosting the Newcomers Welcome Reception for the second year in a row to extend a welcome to newcomers who have chosen to live and work in Charlottetown.

The reception will provide an opportunity to visit City Hall and meet the mayor and council members in a comfortable, informal setting.

It will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 199 Queen St.

“We had such a positive response from the Newcomers Welcome Reception held last year,” said Lee. “This reception provides a platform for newcomers to engage with City Hall, ask questions and gather information about programs and initiatives. We invite those who have lived in Charlottetown for a month or several years to join us.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour City Hall, while information will also be provided on the orientation sessions scheduled to begin in the coming months.
