The sixth animal to be profiled in the 2017 edition of the 12 Strays of Christmas is Betty. Betty is a six-month-old short-haired beige and brown tabby kitten. Her favorite part of the day is feeding time as she is real food fanatic. Betty loves to play and cuddle and would do well in a home with another cat to keep her company. Adoption Tip #6: Kittens and cats love to play, pounce, chase and most enjoyable, sneak attacks. It’s best to keep her playful spirit happy by providing toys like catnip pillows, mice, balls or an absolute favourite, cat wands! Never let them bite, scratch or wrestle with your hands and fingers. This undesirable behavior is not fun once your kitten grows up to be a big cat and they do not understand the difference between playing and hurting you or others. Don’t send mixed messages about biting – even when it’s done in play. The 12 Strays of Christmas is a joint project between The Guardian and the P.E.I. Humane Society.
