The 12th and final animal to be profiled in the 2017 edition of the 12 Strays of Christmas is Jingle, a confident two-year-old white and orange cat. He is a relaxed boy who loves attention and relaxing by the fire. Jingle also has the right personality to live with other cats, dogs or children. Adoption tip #12: Sparkling lights are dazzling and inviting to your pet, but electrocution can cause servere mouth burns from chewing on electrical cords. Even hours after an incident, electrocution can cause damage to the heart and other systems. Treat cords with bitter tasting creams or sprays from a veterinarian. Also, unplug cords when pets are not supervised. The 12 Strays of Christmas is an annual joint project between The Guardian and the P.E.I. Humane Society. For more information, contact the P.E.I. Humane Society at www.peihumanesociety.com or 902-892-1190.
