SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - The Greater Summerside Chamber of Commerce has temporarily put its search for a new executive director on hold.
Chamber president Dan Kutcher said this week that while the hiring process had started, recent developments have caused the chamber to rethink its plans. He was not, however, ready to say exactly what those plans are but did say he hopes to be able to discuss them more openly soon.
The chamber lost its executive director in August when Jane Sharpe retired from the position. Sharpe had been with the organization since March of 2013.
The chamber had originally hoped to have a replacement in place for September.
