Morell students win contest for their video promoting safety on the job

MORELL, P.E.I. - Two students from Morell are the provincial winners in a high school video contest highlighting the importance of safety on the job.

Grade 11 Morell Regional High students Ben MacMillan and Jacob MacDonald’s video “Know Your Limits” was selected as the winner of the Workers Compensation Board contest.

Their video delivers a powerful message, following a fatigued young farm worker through his daily tasks.

MacMillan and MacDonald will share a $1,000 cash prize and receive $1,000 for their school. Their video will also be submitted to the national youth video contest where there are more cash prizes to be won. 

Islanders can cast their vote to make the Morell students’ video the fan favourite in the national contest at ccohs.ca/youngworkers/video_contest.html.

Voting will be open between April 29 and May 5, and the winner will be announced online the week of May 8. The winner receives an additional $1,000 cash prize.
