Doughnuts by Design has a selection of creative doughnuts and mini doughnuts
SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - A speciality shop in Avonlea Village has scored a hole in one with customers as it whips up fresh daily doughnuts using local ingredients.
This 3D image is an example of a space a client could view with the VR glasses, making it feel as though the person is standing inside the room with the ability to physically spin around and view all 360 degrees of the room.

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Imagine standing in the middle of a home renovation and being able to see exactly what the finished product will look like.
Thanks to a new interior design company, damien Morris Designs in Charlottetown, this is now possible.
Damien Morris Designs is the first interior designer on P.E.I. to offer 3D visual concept drawings viewed with virtual reality (VR) glasses. The company specializes in kitchen design, but is able to offer the VR experience with any home or residential space. The renderings are all drawn to scale and include detailed finishing features of the design including paint colour, tile, fixtures, cabinet style and layout.
The 33-year-old Charlottetown entrepreneur had always wanted to run his own business and went in search of a number of programs and services for help. It was when he found the Impact program, a rebrand of the former seed capital program, money which helps turn a venture into a tangible, viable business that things began to change.
The VR service, he says, helps separate him from the competitors.
“Many clients find it hard to visualize the design and would be more confident in their decision if they could actually see what their space would look like,” said Damien Packwood, owner of damien Morris Designs. “The VR glasses literally bring the design to life and you feel like you are standing in the new space.”
The to-scale design allows clients to take a virtual 360 panoramic tour of the space and get a feel for the layout. This feature can be very helpful to ensure the drawings actually work when they become 3D virtual reality scenes.
