P.E.I Brick Company wins chamber of commerce award

The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the P.E.I Brick Company is the winner of the 2016 membership campaign and received a $7,500 promotional package. Chamber Executive Director Penny Walsh-McGuire, presented the prize to Ali Younis, manager of P.E.I.Brick Company, during the Chamber’s March business mixer.

The company is the first concrete bricks and blocks factory in P.E.I. and specializes in landscaping and construction products while offering a variety of different paver designs and an assortment of concrete goods.

“I joined the chamber as a way to network and gain visibility for my new company,” said Younis. “I’m beyond thrilled to have won the 2016 membership campaign. As a new startup, gaining viability and attracting customers is the most difficult part. Winning the membership campaign will certainly give us a good push to achieve our goals.”

The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce serves as the “voice of business” on economic issues for its 975 members, representing more than 17,500 employees in small, medium and large enterprises in the capital region.
