John Taylor will soon be opening a second Pita Pit on Prince Edward Island.
The second one will open July 23 on Granville Street in Summerside.
After seven years as the owner and operator of a grass cutting and landscaping, Taylor became the first Pita Pit on Prince Edward Island in 2013 when he opened a restaurant in Charlottetown last summer.
Taylor grew up and has lived in Cornwall the majority of his life.
A news release says Prince Edward has been identified as a top growth market for the brand, which is why Pita Pit has chosen to host its annual conference in Charlottetown this year.
With the conference based in Taylor’s community, he has been given the opportunity of selecting a charity of his choice. All money raised at the conference will be donated to the Montague Food Bank, the Boys and Girls Club of Summerside, and a school in Charlottetown.
