Olive Crane resigns

Progressive Conservative Leader Olive Crane announced Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 she is resigning from her role as leader. Joined by P.E.I. PC party president Blake Doyle and her PC Opposition caucus, Crane told reporters during an impromptu noon press conference she will be stepping down as party leader, effective Jan. 30, 2013. Crane denied a poll released an hour earlier, which showed her support and that of her party dropped, was the main factor in her decision
