MONTAGUE - A new cafÉ has opened at the Down East Mall and Kate Kenny hopes it will be her calling.
"My husband David said I should run a cafÉ and he's right," said the new proprietor of Kate's CafÉ.
"It's been great so far."
Kenny only opened the doors this fall and so far has a steady and satisfied clientele enjoying the quaintness of her operation.
The specialty is breakfast and there are some rave reviews, but the custom-made sandwich with the works is a real hit at lunchtime as well.
"I like working with the public and seeing people and we've been staying fairly busy considering we're quite new."
Kate's CafÉ can be accessed through the mall and many shoppers are finding their way into the little gem of a cafÉ that also has a front door.
It's open seven days a week and Kate gets help in the morning from her son Quinten before he heads off to school.
"We get a consistent number of folks in every day so I think the seven days a week works out well."
Kate's CafÉ is open from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. during the week, Saturday 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. and Sunday from 10 till 2 p.m. just for the breakfast special.
