New Haven’s Jared Connaughton and his Canadian teammates will be running for gold Saturday at the London Olympics.

The 4x100-metre relay team advanced Friday after finishing second in 38.05. Jamaica won the heat in 37.39. Connaughton was joined by Gavin Smellie, Seyi Smith and Justyn Warner.

The final will take place at 5 p.m.
