Capers, Reds to battle for AUS men's soccer supremacy

The Cape Breton Capers will face the UNB Varsity Reds today at 2 p.m. at the UPEI turf for the Atlantic University Sport men's soccer championship.

Both teams already have clinched a spot at the nationals in Laval, which begin Thursday, as the Atlantic conference receives two spots in the CIS championship .

The Capers defeated the second-seeded Saint Mary's Huskies 1-0 in penalty kicks Saturday in semifinal play. They knocked off the host UPEI Panthers 3-2 Friday.

The top-seeded Reds knocked off Dalhousie 4-3 in semifinal play Saturday. Dal beat Moncton 1-0 Friday to reach the semi.
