P.E.I. athletes return to action today at Paralympic Games

Hartsville native Mark Arendz begins his quest for another medal at the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, today when he competes in the men's 12.5K standing biathlon.

Arendz won a silver medal in the men's 7.5K standing biathlon earlier in the Games.

He races again Wednesday in the cross-country sprint. He then competes in the biathlon long (15K) on Friday and the cross-country team relay Saturday before finishing with the cross-country 10K on Sunday.

Summerside native Billy Bridges and the Canadian men's sledge hockey team (2-0) resume action today versus the Czech Republic (1-1). Canada opened the tournament with a 10-1 rout of Sweden then beat Norway 4-0.

Bridges has a goal and an assist in the tournament.
