BRAMPTON, ONT. — The Island Storm dropped 118-108 decision to the Brampton A’s in National Basketball League of Canada action here Monday night.
With the loss, the Storm fell to 21-16 and has lost two straight games against Central Division squads.
Brampton’s Cedric Moodie went for a triple double, leading all players in points (24), rebounds (12) and assists (11). Cavell Johnson also drained 24 points for the A’s, which upped its mark to 24-13, while Scottie Haralson added 18 points.
Antonio Ballard led the Storm with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Adrian Moss registered 18 points and Steve Tchiengang chipped in 16 points. Ed Jones grabbed 10 boards.
Shawn Vanzant was the Storm’s top three-point shooter at 3-for-3. Moodie was 5-for-7 from beyond the arc.
Brampton shot 50 per cent from the floor and 79 per cent at the free throw line while the Storm was 43 per cent from the floor and 74 per cent from the charity stripe.
Today, the Storm travels to Mississauga to take on the Power (9-29) at 8 p.m. AT. The Power is last in the Central Division.
