The Variety Village Rebels defeated the Laval Gladiators 93-58 to claim the Canadian Wheelchair League open final Sunday in Charlottetown.

“We’ve had a long, long rivalry with Quebec (so) it feels really good to beat them,” said Jesse MacNally, who led the way with 36 points for the Rebels.

Mor Peretz added 26 and Dayton Sopha 18 for the winners.

Marc Ducharme had 25 points for the Gladiators while Carl Pelletier added 20.

Saint John beat Quebec 68-60 in the bronze medal game while the P.E.I. Mustangs won the fifth-place game 64-56 over Saskatchewan.

    Way to go guys and gals. Saw your game Friday night against Sask and were you guys impressive.
