Sombrero Blue Chip, with Brian MacPhee in the bike, won the Saturday night feature race in 1:57.4 over a rain-soaked track at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Jennifer Doyle of Vernon River was the winning owner while Darren Trainer does the training.

MacPhee sent the son of Western Ideal to the front from Post 5, and charted fractions of 28.3, 58.1 and 1:28.2 to hold off BJ Cruiser and Mighty and Strong.

Driver Ron Matheson scored a driving triple while Corey MacPherson, fresh off his four-win performance at Summerside Raceway on Friday night, and Jason Hughes recorded driving doubles.

The total live wager was $19,097.

Racing returns to Charlottetown tonight at 7 p.m.
