Oyster Bed Speedway is revved up for another night of bumper to bumper stock car action when the green flag drops at 7 p.m. Saturday in Oyster Bed.

The street stock division will be highlighted with the first round of the Super Series 50-lap feature.

Despite numbers in the division lower than it has been in recent years, these drivers are always keen on putting on a good show.

Last weekend, this was evident as they were the first class of the year to begin running three cars wide. When this happens one driver usually has to let up or spell disaster for all three cars. It is a very risky maneuver that fans love to see.

Thanks to his triple win last weekend, Tyler Gauthier catapulted from third in points into the lead. After three second-place finishes, Nick Chaisson will have some added incentive after coming so close to winning last weekend’s feature race. He missed out on the win thanks to a last lap restart in which Gauthier won on the high side of the track. Chaisson remained second in points.

The biggest gain in points came from the modified team of Dylan Gosbee who found themselves outside of the top five after the opening weekend. After a double win and a second-place finish Gosbee vaulted into second place and will now challenge Robbie MacEwen for the lead.

MacEwen has already racked up two wins including a feature and only once has finished outside of the top three.

Eldon Doucette is now the new leader of the outlaw division after a strong night of racing with his son James Doucette behind the wheel for the night.

Dylan Lennentine has continued to get better each weekend of racing and he holds down second placed in the chase for points despite not winning a race this season.

Charlie Adams remains in the lead for the mini division after a pair of wins.
