@EqualCoverage! Will you stop making the media sound sexist! It was a Maritime sweep of medals with an PEI man coaching UNB to a national championship during a tournament being held IN THE MARITIMES! On top of that, the Guardian is taking tabs from other media sources and getting the info. Why would you want as big of an article for one Halifax school winning a bronze medal. If it is a big article, submit it yourself. That's what others have to do. I am a huge hockey volunteer/coach but also involved with other sports. The Guardian is obviously focusing on hockey because it will attract the most readership. I wouldn't expect them to come to a female badminton provincials at 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon so I had to provide the press release myself. I also did the same about 10 years ago when I was doing UPEI Volleyball. Also a few years ago a Men's Rugby tournament. They probably have no idea about the bronze because nobody else from wherever the event is being held provided the tab and their is no significance because nobody knows their is a PEI kid on St. Mary's Women's Team! Provide the press release yourself because they can't get everything in themselves. Only so many hours in a day to meet the deadlines and find the stories that will fill the paper and attract readership!

Guardian, where is the equal coverage of the women's CIS hockey championships?? Saint Mary's won a CIS bronze in women's hockey as well and there is an Islander on that team! There are also 2 or 3 Islanders on UNB besides their Islander coach...if your going to mention one, would be nice to quickly review rosters and ensure all are mentioned!
