Kensington native records 97 points

That is Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals forward Thomas Stavert has won the regular-season scoring race in the MHL (Maritime Junior Hockey League).
In 48 games, Stavert accumulated 97 points – in his fourth and final season with the Capitals. The 21-year-old Kensington native netted a league-high 41 goals and tied with the Woodstock Slammers’ Noah Zilbert for the most assists – 56. Zilbert was second behind Stavert with 84 points.
Last year, Stavert had 77 points, including 50 goals, and finished second in league scoring behind the Dieppe Commandos’ Robbie Graham, who had 40 goals and 51 assists for 91 points.
