Daniel Sprong scored twice Saturday to lead the Charlottetown Islanders to a 5-2 victory over the Halifax Mooseheads.
Luc Deschenes, Samuel Blais and Filip Rydstrom also scored in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League win in Halifax.
Filip Chlapik had two assists while Blais, Alexis Vanier, Bradley Kennedy, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Oliver Cooper and Jake Coughler each had one.
Maxime Fortier had a goal and an assist for Halifax. Anthony Sorrentino also scored while Zachary Taylor, Jocktan Chainey and Otto Comppi each added an assist.
Halifax native Matthew Welsh made 30 saves for the win while former Islanders goalie Eric Brassard made 25 saves in the loss.
Charlottetown held period leads of 2-0 and 5-1.
Halifax was 1-for-5 on the power play while Charlottetown was 0-for-3.
The Islanders won their fourth straight game to improve to 27-24-5-2 while Halifax is winless in six games to drop to 17-34-6-1.
Charlottetown plays at the Moncton Wildcats (32-16-8-1) Sunday at 3 p.m.
