Carragher scores four as Aces douse Flames in junior C win

It was over early as the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces scored five times in first period and cruised to an 11-5 win over the North River Flames in Razzy's P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League action Sunday in Summerside.

Karter Hackett, Brady Albert, Cameron Paynter (1-1), Tyson Carragher and Ryan McNeil did the early damage while Chase McCue (2), Carragher and Albert scored in the second frame.

Carragher scored twice more in the third period for a four-goal night. Multiple assists went to Connor Dillon (4), Taylor Williams and Colton Gallant, each with three, and two each for Ryley Doyle, Luke Stetson and Jake Getson.

Tignish outshot North River 50-19, including 18-4 in the first period, and led 5-1 after 20 minutes and 9-4 at the second intermission.

Brady McQuaid (2), Zack Wright (1-3), Alec Brown (1-2) and Jarrod MacAdam (1-1) netted the Flames markers while Ethan MacFadyen added two assists.

Avery Arsenault earned the win over Alex Smith. Neither team had a power-play goal.
