Former Charlottetown Islanders defenceman Ryan Graves will play in the American Hockey League all-star challenge.
The rosters were announced on Thursday and the Yarmouth, N.S., native made the Atlantic Division’s 13-player squad. The all-star weekend will take place Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 in Syracuse, N.Y.
Graves, 20, has three goals and eight assists in 34 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack in his first pro season.
He was a first-round pick of the P.E.I. Rocket and played in Charlottetown from 2011-12 until being traded to Val-d'Or in January 2014. He played in Memorial Cups with the Foreurs and then the Quebec Remparts before turning pro.
He was drafted in the fourth round (110 overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2013 NHL draft.
