Mount Hebert's Shannon MacAulay has her second gold medal with Team Canada from the Nations Cup.
Canada's National Women's Development Team defeated Finland 4-3 in overtime Thursday in Germany to defend their title. It is Canada's 11th gold medal in the past 14 years.
Jamie Lee Rattray netted the game-winner 48 seconds into overtime as part of her three-point (two goals and an assist) night.
"It was amazing," said Rattray. "Finland played unbelievable tonight and I thought we did a pretty good job of weathering a lot of storms because we took a lot of penalties and did a good job on the penalty kill."
Rebecca Kohler and Victoria Bach also scored while Amanda Leveille made 22 saves for the win.
The game was scoreless after the first period while Canada took a 3-2 lead to the third. Canada finished the tournament 3-0 after defeating Sweden and Russia in the preliminary round.
MacAulay, 21, is a five-foot-11, 176-pound forward. She is in her fourth year at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., and is the Golden Knights captain.
