Predators do damage on power play in defeating Metros

The Cap-Pele Predators scored four times in the third period and salted away an 8-5 win over the A&S Scrap Metal Metros in P.E.I. and New Brunswick interlocking junior B hockey action Wednesday at Cody Banks Arena.

Cap-Pele's William Ford (1-2), Marcel Newcomb (1-2), Cody McDermott and Alex Cormier (1-3) connected on their shots in the decisive period.

Chad LeBlanc, Kevin Mcgraw (1-2), Alexi Guitard (1-2) and Jeremie Boudreau scored for the Preds earlier in the game, while Adam Waite chipped in two assists.

Cap-Pele outshot the Metros 42-36 and was 4-for-5 on the power play. The Metros went 2-for-6 with the extra man.

The game was tied 2-2 after the first period. Cap-Pele led 4-3 at the second intermission.

Connor Smith (2-2), Harrison Wood (1-2), Taylor Runighan (1-1) and Johnathan Larter netted the Metros scores.

M.A. Lebrasseur earned the win over Sam Walsh.
