Tyson Arsenault enjoys big day

GEORGETOWN – Tyson Arsenault played a key role in the Western Regals regaining top spot in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League.

Arsenault had two goals and two assists to lead the Regals to a 7-2 road win over the Kings County Kings on Sunday. The victory upped the Alberton-based Regals’ record to 15-4-2 (won-lost-tied), one point ahead of the Pownal Red Devils (14-4-3). The Kings fell to 5-13-1.

At the Three Rivers Sportsplex, Isaac Callaghan (1-1), Patrick Bernard (1-1), Brayden Arsenault (1-1), Silas Handrahan and Will Tuplin also lit the lamp for the Regals, who built period leads of 2-1 and 7-2. Brayden Handrahan (2), Alex Morrissey (2), Diego LeClair (2) and Ben Boulter chipped in with assists.

Blake Jamieson and Eddie Jenkins each had a goal and an assist for the Georgetown-based Kings. Cameron Pollard added a single helper.

Winning goaltender was Colin Gaudette.
