Charlottetown's Kevin Devine is the Buffalo Sabres new director of player personnel, the team announced on Wednesday.

It was part of a number of new roles for people within the organization.

Devine, who is beginning his 17th season with the NHL team, had served as director of amateur scouting and assistant general manager. The club announced Greg Royce and Mark Jakubowski to those positions earlier this month.

Devine was the assistant GM for three seasons.

Tim Murray became the team's general manager in January.
