Toronto Marlies goalie DrewMacIntyre will be attending the 25th anniversary of the Special Olympics Festival.
The Stratford native is the latest celebrity confirmed for the event.
Already announced guests include Gino Reda, host of TSN's That's Hockey, Brad Gushue, Canadian Olympic curling gold-medallist, Gerard (Turk) Gallant, Montreal Canadiens assistant coach, Dion Phaneuf, Toronto Maple Leafs captain, actress Elisha Cuthbert, and Special Olympics P.E.I.'s female athlete of the year Rachael Loggie.
Additional guests are expected to be announced in the coming days.
The festival, being held June 24, is the largest annual fundraising event for Special Olympics P.E.I.
The two-part event includes a luncheon in Summerside at the Credit Union Place, and a gala dinner and auction in Charlottetown at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel.
Tickets for the luncheon are $35 each, or $275 for a corporate table.
