Kings split first two games at midget girls Atlantics

The Kings County Kings are 1-1 after the first day of action at the Atlantic midget girls hockey championship in Deer Lake, N.L.

The Kings opened the tournament Friday with a 4-1 loss to the Moncton Rockets before bouncing back for a 5-1 win against the host Western Warriors team.

The Kings return to action Saturday to play the Pro Cresting Penguins from Nova Scotia at 8 a.m. ADT and the Central Icepak from Newfoundland and Labrador at 1 p.m.

The bronze medal game is at 8:30 a.m. and the championship game at 11 a.m.
