Former Summerside Western Capitals forward Chris Caissy is heading to the American Hockey League.

Caissy, who played for the Moncton Wildcats this past season, said Tuesday afternoon on Twitter he was flying to Chicago on Wednesday to join the Chicago Wolves.

The right-winger had 16 goals and 27 assists in 53 games this past year in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In 2012-13 in Summerside, Caissy had 24 goals and 29 assists in 50 games.

The Wolves were 39-20-5-3 before Tuesday’s game with Milwaukee.
